European Citizen Science Association (ECSA)
ECSA is a membership organisation set up in 2014. Our main goals are to increase the democratisation of science, encourage the growth of citizen science in Europe, and support the participation of the general public in research processes ⎯ across the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and the arts. ECSA working groups carry out strategic work around a particular theme related to citizen science.
Citizen Science Global Partnership
A unique collaboration of the world’s leading regional and national citizen science associations and their members. To advance global sustainability efforts, CSGP aims to foster citizen science partnerships and initiatives at all scales across regions, particularly where support is most needed.
The Association for Advancing Participatory Sciences (AAPS)
A member-driven organization that connects people from a wide range of experiences around one shared purpose: advancing knowledge through research and monitoring done by, for, and with members of the public. AAPS brings depth to how participatory sciences are understood both as public engagement and as research, and shines a light on the integrity and complexity of the practice.
Earthwatch is active in promoting citizen science across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Example programmes include supporting early career researchers in Oman (including through the Science Camp programme), coordinating the Miyawaki Research Network, and monitoring freshwater pollution (SDG 6.3.2) in Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya and South Africa.
ECS (European Citizen Science) Platform
An online platform for sharing knowledge, tools, training and resources for citizen science – by the community, for the community. You can add your own citizen science projects, resources, events etc and communicate with other users through the forum.
